Every step has something to teach, especially those that force us to return.
My first contact with software development was when I started my degree in 2010. In 2013, I started my first job as a full stack developer and today, for me, software development is more than just creating programs, is the art of creating the best possible solutions using human and computational resources. I have experience in software development in academic and professional environments, implementing solutions through research individually and working as a team to develop applications based on customer needs.

At university, I had my first contact with programming concepts and how to use these concepts and technologies in all layers of software development.
During my master's degree I developed simulation tools for applications in the telecommunications area. As a final work, I developed methods for evaluating simulation results of information traffic in elastic optical networks.
In my doctorate I am using the results obtained in my master's degree to identify network patterns that affect the performance results of optical networks. This work is being carried out in conjunction with the Decision Analysis Research Group (GERAD) in Montreal, Canada.
I started my bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
I worked on the development and maintenance of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for agribusiness companies. This was my first contact with team software development. At INFOGEN I had the opportunity to develop and learn about all software development processes, starting from the customer's needs to the final solution. This work taught me about how a software development company works. I learned to work with shared tasks, with people with different thoughts, respect different opinions, learning to deal with pressure, working with deadlines, learning to receive and give feedback and especially working as a team respecting hierarchy.
Laboratório de Telecomunicações(LabTel)
In 2018, I had the opportunity to lead software development at LabTel (UFES Telecommunications Laboratory). At that time, LabTel did not have a consolidated software development team, and I was responsible for hiring people and leading them to develop systems in academic and business environments. In the laboratory I had the opportunity to improve my knowledge about software development, both in terms of people and technologies. As the team was just starting out, I needed to work with students with no professional experience and with emerging and open source technologies.
I started my master degree in Electrical Engineering.
For a year I worked as a volunteer to help health professionals and institutions that provide essential services in the fight against COVID-19. UFES, in partnership with private companies, produced 150,000 face shields for professionals who provide essential services. My advisor and I were responsible for managing the entire production and delivery process.
I started my master PhD in Electrical Engineering.
I am in a research internship at GERAD to develop my doctorate in partnership with researchers from Canada in the area of data science.
